Now it's time for a closer look on the Mortyr arsenal... In the very beginning of the game, the time takes place in 1943 - and you have several weapons available. Of course you aren't a lazy ass, so at a point you'll return to 2093, hopefully having destroyed that stupid Time Machine. Some of your good ole' weapons o' love gets replaced with some big boozas of killing machines over some time, and some of the older have been a bit polished. Quite oki - it's over 100 years later, dammit! All round, the weapon balance in Mortyr is way better than in other games, and just before you get bored like they being an Italian B-movie from 1972, you return to the feature 'o technology to find some new and big badass 'uns. Another cool thing is that these guns have existed in the actual time period (at least the already lived-through) for real.

[SHOT] Kick that ugly face-fucker!

Foot

Available in 1943, 2093 and multiplayer

Althogh our stupid minds will get us to think that this weapon is useful - it isn't. The only pros we can see about the foot - is that it never gets starved when thinking on ammo. And as the usual FPS-games, Mr. Sebastian don't get tired in his foot either, so just kick your ass off. But it's sweet. However, it should be your last resort when all other weapons run out of ammo. Actually, you'll probably never use it because the knife is a bit better.

[SHOT] Cut his tounge off!

Knife

Available in 1943 and 2093

The knife is our second staunch friend that you always stick with. It is a little more effective than the foot is, so our suggestion is to use this one when no other weapons than 1 and 2 available.

Everyone comes armed from the start with a knife and, just as the foot, it has unlimited ammo - so, if you have to use it, never let off the trigger. Because its range is limited to touch, it is quite difficult to kill with the knife; but, as mentioned, it's some slices better that the foot, with a bit wider range of 'hitness'. It is only useful in narrow corridors and against nazi-campers standing stationary in the corner, not spending a second looking at the way you are coming from. Another con is that when you first manage to hit someone, they don't loose that much of health, so chanches of getting killed by your slick enemy is pretty big.

[SHOT] Can't wait to kill those guys!

P-08 Parabellum

Available in 1943 and 2093

The standard-issue weapon of Mortyr; the first real weapon you'll spot in the game. The P-08 Parabellum reminds of the Blaster in Quake II, but with a not-so-science-fiction stamp, and some (not all) of your enemies will die more quicker.

Ammo is easy to come by for this weapon, and you won't get out of glorios bullets for this one if you're pretty sophisticated and not like to rain hell down upon others. Anyways, this isn't really a very fun and exciting weapon; you might recall the name German Luger. Strong and sweet-ass sorces confirms that this one fires 9mm parabellum rounds, and has a range of about 50m and can fire 24 rounds a minute.

[SHOT] Now you see why we love that rifle...

Mauser Rifle

Available in 1943, 2093 and multiplayer

One of the most nifty wepons in the game, indeed. You'll probably use this often, because it is very reliable - and with good aiming you'll always damage the enemy quite a lot. Because a lot of the nazis are using this rifle, you'll find ammo almost everywhere you are putting yor green, black and big foot. It may not be as effective as some of the more powerful guns, but it don't use much ammo, and, err - we love it. If you hit the head to those nazi-bastards, you'll probably hurt them like a medium nuclear However, it does take a while to be ready to fire again after a shot, so you better aim well. The rifle is not too effective on some of the enemies in 2093, but what could we expect from a WW2 weapon?

All round, this is a very good weapon, good both close as sin - but even better when you're a bit more than a couple of meters away =)

Actually, this is one of the more popular WW2 guns still on the market, and it's not hard to grab a copy of this one today. It was made by a Swedish dude named Mauaser, and has a total range of 2000m, though accruate only for about 800m of that. It holds 5 rounds of 7.9mm X 57, and is capable of 10 to 12 shots per minute.

[SHOT] Quite a lot better than the knife, actually

MP-40 Schmeisser

Available in 1943 and multiplayer

This Machine Pistol fires 5 rounds for each time you press the fire button. It can fire continuously, just as a normal machine gun. You have pretty control of your territory with this one, but it doesn't hurt as much as some of the bigger guns (there actually are), though.

Keeping up with the r/l talking, the MP-40 was made in 1940 (hence the 40 part of the name). The Schmeisser part of the name haven't got anything directly to this gun, nut a p1mp named Hugo Schmeisser designed the MP 18, probably from 1918, then. It's parts were made by many companies, then the parts were brought together in the end for final assembly, appearently to minimize disruption of production do to Allied bombing of factories. As with the P-08 Parabellum, it fires the 9mm parabellum rounds. It would seem it has a total range of 200m, with an effective range of 100m. It can fire 350-400 rounds/min in the game, and it was used in Raiders of the Lost Arc - despite the fact the movie takes place in the 1930's.

[SHOT] Yippicaje, you mothafuckas!

MG-42

Available in 1943 and multiplayer

This is a real bad-ass weapon. Thinking of killicg people, it's one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Push the trigger for some secs, and all nazis is stipped up with bullet-holes, blood and splatter. The sad thing is that there aren't a lot of ammo for the gun, and since you fire off no less than 22 bullets each fires-press, you're robbed for ammo pretty fast. You may just turn over to God-mode and kill some suckers just to have fun...

This is what we can call a real machine gun, and it was published first in - as you guessed - 1942. It fires the same 7.9mm x 57 shell as the Mauser rifle. Firing 1200-1500 rounds a minute (depending on source), it was the first machine gun in the world to fire so fast you couldn't hear the individual shots, just a buzzing sound. The sound of it was enough to terrorize Allied service men. The barrel would get so hot, that standard equippment with the gun was another barrel and an asbestos pad to remove the hot barrel. Typically fed by a 50 round belt, there were assault versions with a 75 round drum. The range is reported as 3500m. The gun was made by many companies, including Mauser and Gustoff from 1942 to the end of the war. It was the replacement to the MG-34, and weighed in about 25lbs. In 1957 they started making the gun again, this time named the MG 1, rechambered for NATO's 7.62mm shells.

[SHOT] Boom. It looks cool, eh?

Hand Grenade

Available in 1943 and multiplayer

What would a FPS be without a hand grenade? Well, Mortyr don't really need this one. Sure it's the good ole' WW2 explosive hand grenade, but the nazis should be kinda stupid to not get away from this one. It works quite cool when standing close to your enemies, as direct hits will explode right away (usual delay is around 4 secs). Cool thing is, the Hitler-dudes will be pretty boombanged with blood, pancreas and hip sockets, perfect suited for Mexican dip. It also works well for tossing around corners.

You twist the bottom of the handle to arm the grenade. A good toss can get it 35m away, it deploys shrapnel for 15m, and has a blast range of 3-6 m. It was commonly called "Potato Smasher," and generally thought of as worthless as it had a very small blast radius.

[SHOT] Say no more. The coolest Rocket Launcher around!

Panzerfaust

Available in 1943 and multiplayer

The coolest-looking weapon in the game. It looks like Mr. Mad's little favie-one. Just imagine a mad German with glasses, big eyes and stuff - dossing around n the town with this one... Basically, it's the famous Rocket Launcher in classic 1940-style. You'll have freat fun clearing a room of huddled enemies, but don't use it in small rooms/right to the floor etc. - as you'll probably get killed yourself

The Panzerfaust was first used in 1943. It had, initially a limited range of 30m, but could penetrate armor up to 7.8 inches thick, enough to destroy all Allied armor at the time. By 1944 range was increased to 60m, then 100m by September. This 100m version is the one used in the game. By 1945 they had a 150m version. This 1945 version was a mean version, which added a fragmentation sleeve to the rocket to act as an antipersonnel roll. When the war was ending a 250m version was in development, which would have included special sights and an anti aircraft version.

[SHOT] Revenge is sweet. As hell

Flame Thrower

Available in 1943, 2093 and multiplayer

Quite odd weapon, actually. It's not very easy to handle, as the hot flames will fill the screen for the seconds fireing like hell. Best part of it, however - is to see the nazi burn to death (see shot on the left side).

The shoot range is pretty wide, and it fires 12 gas units each click on the trigger. However, it's not very effective on long range enemies. In the future, the flame thrower is equal to the 1943-one.

[SHOT] Muhaha... EXPLODE!

Podrenczny Dezintegrator Protonowy

Available in 1943

The coolest name of a weapon in the game. Podrenczny Dezintegrator Protonowy is Polish for Handheld Proton Disintegrator, which tell the most about how this bad boy works... It reminds of the Rocket Launcher, but it actually fires Proton Balls...

This is a bad-ass weapon, firing off enough power to smack your neighbour and his dog off the sofa. Its high rate of fire, hideously high splash damage and high-accuracy are tempered by a slow projectile speed and the scarcity of ammo. Just don't hit someone standing next to you because you'll be annihilated right along with them - 3 rockets will nock you around as a paper clip in a Tornado.

[SHOT] Kill that stupid 2093 robot!

LP-93 Laser Pistol

Available in 2093

One of the best pure 2093-weapons. Ammo is quite easy to drop by, and it does a good job on most of the enemies - atleast the not-so-powerful dudes. It's crappy on Kongo-enemies like the Doids, but use it on all the others.

The baby shoots 5MWs (MegaWatts, you stoopid) laser pulses in a row and each battery holds 60 shots.

[SHOT] Die, sucker!

Available in 2093 and multiplayer

Subautomatic Assault Rifle

This gun is simular to the Gehenna (below), but has some streghts and lack compared to it. It's an, err, subatuomatic assault rifle quite like the ones we have today, and does not suck ammoi as fast as the Gehenna. It's not as powerful as the Gehenna, though.

[SHOT] It can do a lot. Including breaking glass...

Gehenna

Available in 2093 and multiplayer

As already mentioned, this one sucks more ammo than the Subautomatic Assault Rifle, but is has a streght speaking of power. It kills most of the enemies fast, however it gets empty as fast.

Ammo isn't as easy to spot as the Gehenna as well.

[SHOT] Sweet feature. Take a closer look - theyr'e shooting at each other!

Mind Control

Available in 2093

Only thinking of how this weapon works; it's brilliant. Basically, shoot at your enemy, ant it will become muddled like a fart in a wicker chair...

Fire this at your enemy, and they will join your side and kill others for you. This works for XXXXXX seconds - which is enough time for the guy to kill some suckers. And he won't shoot at you either, that's for sure. Cool as hell, but unfortunately there's very hard to fnd ammo for this one, and you can't carry more than 6 "bullets" at the same time.

[SHOT] Fire those plastic balls...

Plasma Gun

Available in 2093 and multiplayer

A very sweet gun fires a plasma bolt which trails cool rings. The plasma bolt will rebound off walls, and stay in the air for some seconds before it fades away.

On hit it explodes the enemy, and will most likely kill it the same time. As the mind control, there's a limited supply of ammo.

A feature on all weapons is that the crosshair turns red when aiming on an enemy. Thanks to Mortyr.Net for the real-life information of the mentioned guns, BTW. Also, there's a couple of handy items to pick up in the game, like flshlight and stuff:

[SHOT] Quite more easy to see the enemies. Nifty red-light!     [SHOT] This corner is very dark. Well, without the flashlight, then...     [SHOT] Green light in the DARK! Real AvP-style...
