Mortyr Review - MultiplayerKick offThe game supports all communication types of choice, including TCP/IP, LAN, Serial and IPX. The Multiplayer menu actually felt a bit hard to navigate, and it sucks that you can't paste in an IP Address to the game... Server-browsersWhat 'bout the server-browsers, then? Well, right now - there's no server browsers with support for Mortyr, but we hope that the geniouses at GameSpy and Pingtool could add a few lines of code for all the Mortyr fans out there. Kicked offchilladude, cosmo and a weird stranger sat down at 3 comps and connected to each other. After a bit 'o time, we could draw a conclution on the multiplayer aboilities in this game. chiller whipped up a server, with hardly no probs. The two guys connected some mins later, which went pretty well, but both of 'em had to go back to Windows and remember chiller's IP first, since Ctrl-V went, err, not good. Except for cosmo, who had to write down the IP on a paper, since his brain is sort of slow and small :p First of all: It rocks Unreal's ass. Though it's not something very unique, it doesn't lag much more than other good games in the genre - and there's a handful of nifty weapons. The maps were OK, but you won't play long on the same map before it gets sort of boring (a thing we didn't like because there weren't a buttload of multiplayer maps). It was not too bad, bot not too good either. It wasn't so fun and exciting, but we won't stop you to play a few matches on the late eve. And a poor amount of models/skins. <-- previous section -- next section -->
