To change the way your browser deals with cookies
You should have read this little cookie-text on in the help-section before reading further.
In Internet Explorer 5
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click the Web content zone you want to set cookie options for. (For more information about Web content zones, see Internet Explorer Help.)
- Click the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to the Cookies section and select the options you want.
In Internet Explorer 4.x
- On the View menu, click Internet Options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to the yellow exclamation icon under Security and pick one of the three options.
In Internet Explorer 3.x
- On the View menu, click Options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click the button that says Warn Before Accepting "Cookies."
In Internet Explorer 4.x, Macintosh Edition
- On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- Under Receiving Files, click Cookies.
- From the When Receiving Cookies list, select a setting.
In Internet Explorer 3.x, Macintosh Edition
- On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- Under Receiving Files, click Cookies.
- From the When Receiving Cookies list, select a setting.
In Netscape Navigator 4.x
- On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- Click Advanced.
- Set your options in the section labeled "Cookies."
In Netscape Navigator 6 (Mozilla Seamonkey):
- On the View menu, click Preferences.
- Select Cookies under Advanced.
- Set your options
- You might also change the attributtes of the saved cookies manually under View Stored Cookies, but that isn't recommended!
In Opera 4:
- On the Preferences menu, click Advanced.
- Set your options in the Cookie handling frame
In Lynx 2.x:
- Press the O button.
- Set your options under Cookies
In other browsers:
- You should probably be able to find a cookie-setting dialog some place in the Options-part of the program. If you can't find anything your browser may be outdated. Live with the default site, or grab a new one. Opera is great.
