To change the way your browser deals with cookies

You should have read this little cookie-text on in the help-section before reading further.

In Internet Explorer 5

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Click the Web content zone you want to set cookie options for. (For more information about Web content zones, see Internet Explorer Help.)
  4. Click the Custom Level button.
  5. Scroll down to the Cookies section and select the options you want.

In Internet Explorer 4.x

  1. On the View menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to the yellow exclamation icon under Security and pick one of the three options.

In Internet Explorer 3.x

  1. On the View menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Click the button that says Warn Before Accepting "Cookies."

In Internet Explorer 4.x, Macintosh Edition

  1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  2. Under Receiving Files, click Cookies.
  3. From the When Receiving Cookies list, select a setting.

In Internet Explorer 3.x, Macintosh Edition

  1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  2. Under Receiving Files, click Cookies.
  3. From the When Receiving Cookies list, select a setting.

In Netscape Navigator 4.x

  1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Set your options in the section labeled "Cookies."

In Netscape Navigator 6 (Mozilla Seamonkey):

  1. On the View menu, click Preferences.
  2. Select Cookies under Advanced.
  3. Set your options
  4. You might also change the attributtes of the saved cookies manually under View Stored Cookies, but that isn't recommended!

In Opera 4:

  1. On the Preferences menu, click Advanced.
  2. Set your options in the Cookie handling frame

In Lynx 2.x:

  1. Press the O button.
  2. Set your options under Cookies

In other browsers:

  1. You should probably be able to find a cookie-setting dialog some place in the Options-part of the program. If you can't find anything your browser may be outdated. Live with the default site, or grab a new one. Opera is great.
  2. If you have instructions for other browsers, mail cosmo!
